in a world made of atoms, skig is more like one contiguous thing. there are no building blocks or smaller components to their body, it is just solid ‘chitin’ all the way down. if the atomic world was like a bitmap image, skig is a vector graphic.
what’s more: skig does not have organs. they can form a cavity inside themselves and use it to digest things, but they do not need anything to sustain their body. in fact, they move and grow without any apparent driving force at all.
