Bug with linking Blusesky profiles

Hi! Not sure if this is the right place. I can’t find a Bug Report button, and you’ll probably want documentation here instead. Maybe for my first feedback, I’ll also suggest a bug_report tag or something uniform and easy to access. Either way:

The Bluesky profile links in forums posts seem to bug out. This happened on a previous post I made: I love making my friends big :) - #3 by BiotAvery You should be able to see my Edit history, where I had to go back and fix the test formatting strangely, and only doing it for the bluesky profile link.

Let’s test it..

Or My Bluesky

Seems to work to me! In both ways!

Ah I think it is because you’re typing in the at @, but you need to share the full url?

Right, yeah.

If I type @thedreamline.bsky.social in the text editor, it sort of auto-adjusts itself like it was a link, so I assumed it was supported. I want to say it was fine until I started making edits in the post, where lines started getting moved. It only happened after I had typed the post up, not during the initial draft. In my experience, those kinds of links usually work? But I’m no coder, so I can’t say for sure what’s going on or what does and doesn’t work.

On the screenshot too, you can see that the test is darker (no edits on my end to it, just typed as is), which is what I assumed was normal behavior, but noticed it didn’t generate a link. Not sure if that’s normal or not.

I see where the confusion is coming from yeah! The @ symbol does show differently, because Discourse shows you it’s trying to match it to another user on Discourse.

I think that solves the issue, but it is strange it’s eating text. I don’t use Discourse, so this was something I had no idea about. It may be good to make a quick guide for what the site does with Discourse.

For now, I’ll find a different way to tag links to Bsky for crediting, so I mainly use it to give credit for people in my renders.
