Just wonderin, seeing if anyone else has a workout journey goin. And mainly just to chat about gym stuffs ^w^
I’ve been working out for 4-5 years now, with gaps between due to living conditions, but I still push my hardest because I’ve yet to hit my goal, the hardest part is dieting ;w;
I’ve been working out since mid-university. Though I’ve been falling off a bit since graduating because my new gym is pretty out of the way.
My most recent project has been to make a home gym in our basement, hopefully to help with that issue. It’s been nice getting to lift some weights when I come home late!
No definitely, I get a gym for free with university and it’s ALWAYS crowded except for weekends. hopefully when I get a house I can have a gym room. It stems from muscle growth, so the kink has a benefit for bettering my body.
I’ve got someone helping me out overseas giving me dieting advice and healthy ways to boost muscle growth too
One day (not too long ago actually), I was visiting the gym and there was a guy on the shoulder cable machine. He was there for 20+ minutes just doing shoulders exclusively. I asked when he was finishing, and he said he would finish soon. “Soon” was like 15+ minutes later when I was just about to leave. It was the only machine in the whole gym since it’s just a small conditioning room inside a larger centre.
That experience was one of the things that gave me the kick to start building up the home gym.
That’s really cool! What kinda exercises are you getting up to then? (side note but I never know what to call the actual exercises. Every app for logging i’ve used calls them something different haha)
No bro I HATE working out in groups, I don’t mind a pair, but I’ll be trying to get my stuff done and there’s like a group of four on ONE THING. It’s so aggrivating. Or when people are on their phones for way too long doing their “rest”
Anything and everything, I do it on different days obvi but I hit full body through out the week. I don’t focus on legs as much because I’ve already got a killer set of thighs >;3c
I’m a gym fur! Yeah, sometimes people have really bad gym etiquette for hogging equipment or not putting weights back when they’re done (and the phone thing annoys me too). I usually find it more successful to ask to work in rather than ask when they’re finished on the equipment, but your mileage may vary.
I try not to really, cause it’s like awkward to sit there and wait because we both have different things goin on. Not that I avoid it, if I’m desperate, then yeah I’ll ask to work in
Gym fur here! Recently started a new job with a long commute, which means scaling back down to maintenance level of two times a week, from my normal ULPPL split.
Good news though, the new job has its own gym I can go for employees and not accessible to the public. i have formed whole new routine, PPLcardio, hopefully move to PPL whole body, then ULUL.
I used to go to the gym a lot. Was pretty bulky and in good shape at one point- was even looking into amateur bodybuilding competitions right out of college, but I fell off pretty bad after graduating and haven’t been able to commit like I used to since. These days I’m rocking the ex-jock dad-bod look.
It’s kinda funny- I always had a muscle fetish and definitely think that contributed to wanting to work out more. But then I got dominated by a bigger guy ONE TIME in college and I figured out my preference had always been to be the micro/little guy doing the worship. Since then I steadily declined my personal gym aspirations I always try to start up again, but I know I’d rather be crushed by a big guy than be one.
