Curious on what the consensus is on humans in Macro/Micro play
Do you enjoy them being the micros in your fantasies, the ones whose world you’ve shrunken into?
Do you yourself like being your fursona with the size shenanigans they live in and do you see yourself irl being in the same scenario. Would you play it out the same?
Myself I do enjoy being both macro as my elephant and human self too. I find it’s a great bit of fun with growing, but furry is best as it’s just so many characters and scenarios that be so unique, elephant trunks, claws, the likes
If there are humans and furries in a fantasy of mine typically it’s before some sort of global transformation event which makes everyone furries. I like the “become your true self” trope where everyone wakes up an anthro- and along with that some people are an inch tall while others are planet sized.
I like when the transformation is a reflection of everyone’s “true self” -this leaves room for a lot of really fun humiliation and power dynamic play: “Why did I turn into an inch tall pink bunny rabbit while my friend became a 30 ft tall hypermuscled Dragon?” -This is just who you really are inside, and soon enough everyone realizes they are perfectly happy with what they became
I’m generally not concerned with the species of the dust at my hooves, but I didn’t even like fantasizing about myself as a macro until I started identifying as Asriel directly.
I still fantasized about being big, but thinking of my IRL self just…feels disgusting. I would usually think of myself as sort of a voyeur, taking part but not thinking to hard about it.
Once I fully embraced furry, now I love fantasizing about myself and what I would do to all the worthless mites that populate the various universes I have my fun in ;3
Well, for me, interest in size came first… like from when I was very young kind of thing, whereas furry/anthro was later… like, I wasn’t especially drawn to the anthro cartoon series in the 80s any more than the non-anthro ones, so very much yes.
That said, if there’s both in one scenario, invariably, baring one or two possible scenarios (specifically, Misty finding himself tiny at the mercy of a hot human woman) the human will be the smaller…. And typically, me in those cases.
Our ‘sona is most certainly humanoid enough to count, and We’ve always been HUGE about big humans and big anthros sharing a skyline!
We’ve been even BIGGER about macro humans and micro furries though…it remains one of Our very favorite tropes in size scenes.
I typically like humans to be the small ones in any kind of size stuff, though certain art styles and contexts are enough to overpower that inclination for me. Also changing something to be even slightly inhuman, like fairies or elves, can be enough to change my mind at times.
I reeeaally like humans being at the mercy of giant non-humans! Nothing crowds around quite as well as unremarkable lil’ people, they’re just a perfect foil to folks like me who like engaging with large quantities of tiny things at a time. C:
I’m not really a fan of mixing furries and humans in general, it can be a lot of style clash when you’ve got very vibrant anthro characters along with “normal” looking human characters.
And it overlaps with my pet peeve of people coming into an RP space and “playing” as just their irl self, but big/small, and not engaging with the setup :V
Although neither is exclusive to human characters, I just see it a lot more with them.
I’m lukewarm on humans in macro/micro scenarios at best. If I’m big, I don’t necessarily mind stomping on human cities, but I do tend to prefer the abstraction of having everyone be an anthro instead. Same thing applies to whoever is the macro. It’s more appealing to me if they’re an anthro instead of a human
Big furries / small humans and Big humans / small furries are both great! As long as its consistent. But having a single human get large enough to mingle with giant monsters is something I’m a fan of lately
