I was holding up introducing this characters I’ve been creating recently until I had a proper reference of all, all info about them are on FA but I’ll explain here too, they’re basically for non-linear storytelling like a visual novel, I’m not sure if I’ll make one someday, and the characters are based on many tropes and stuff I enjoy, like different body types.
Summary about them, the fox mage is tasked by a kingdom to defeat this canine creatures settled in locations in the borders of the kingdom, these creatures are daemon, made with alchemy, have demonic and divine essence, can grow almost infinitely, each one has some element control and some other kinds of magic. This is their regular/minimum size, into macro shenanigans.
This is the focus character in the Beluaculus story, I wouldn’t say main character since it’s kinda generic. Thinking of the story as a visual novel is the avatar, that’s why can be shaped differently and is referred only by “the mage”.
Their abilities are whatever the plot needs, mostly binding, illusion and transmutation magic, specially size/volume/density magic to control the Belauculus.
Story wise, is tasked by a kingdom to defeat the treating creatures known as Beluaculus that has taken control of populations in the border lands, being praised as gods by local folk, making the main kingdom lost control of those areas. In reality the mage is closely related to the Belauculus as being the child of their original creator, so they’ve been preparing all their life to catch them, but deeply wants to be their friend.
In the situations they can find, loves to be seen as fragile and in peril, when even at the most risk they’re in control of the situation, with binding and transmutation magic they can move freely, change their size, weight, temperature and even flavor.
Kojindae of the fire, lives in a town near a volcano, protects the people from the volcano, very warm and over fond for his followers, likes to try new things and partying.
Controls fire and heat, also can transfer life force.
Fimbuldae of the ice, lives in a tundra town, very close to the people serving as their guardian and rescuing people, even helps in the fields, usually friendly but can be very cold and insensitive, likes to keep order among the other problematic Beluaculus.
Can make ice and water from nothing and control them, also stop and move time for a bit.
Has some pirate-viking vibe. About his eyesight, he can still somewhat see with his left eye, so still has dept perception.
This one is Ankudae, is settled in a city in the desert teaching magic and making ceremonies related to spirits, very egotistical, loves to be treated with luxury as royalty but can also be timid and curious.
Control the winds, spirits, can fly and revive.
Hamedae lives in a tropical archipielago, brings good weather and rescues his followers lost in the sea, loves to eat, gets angry easily but also regrets it quickly.
Can summon thunder and lightning, slaps his belly to make a shockwave and his lighting can be used like a chain, usually to move clouds. Can also alter composition and density.
Giterdae of the earth, lives in a comercial city with many bridges between a canyon, helps with building, mining activities and loves to fight gladiator style against debt prisoners, loves to fight and can be somewhat oblivious of other feelings, also a bit airhead, likes to tease his public and always think of himself as a protag.
Can create anything from ground/rock, enrich the soil for plants and create minerals, also has magnetism and healing powers.
Ooh, they’re all so handsome, front shots and back! I think Fimbuldae is my favourite appearance-wise, but the lore and personalities behind each of them are great, and I especially have a soft spot for lightning powers like Hamedae’s. ^^
This is their final form, 12 mt is their minimum size at that state, usually only one at the time can get this form, with it their clothes rip off but try to maintain conscious enough to not be nude, and get noticeably more hairy. Hope you like it.
Does the fox mage get a new form too? Maybe, looks like a void.
