[Bug?] Size Giving Ray does 10% Growth instead of 10% of user?

Forgive me if I am being wrong, but in the description of the Size Giving Ray, it mentions how the ray is supposed to give “10 Percent of your size”.

However in practice, the notification, Recent Activity, and Currently Growing tab all suggest it was a 10% of the targets size, instead of 10% of the source’s size, while the source loses 10% of their size anyways.

I don’t think this is intended functionality? It would suck if it is the intended functionality since it’s not what it says it does.

I will add this does make it less effective for the micro’s using it, 10% of a inch tall person is…nothing for macro’s really, but the description does say that its 10% of your size to them

I suppose I could update the description to clarify, but the behaviour is intentional and will remain like this. Otherwise micros giving this to macros would never be able to do anything meaningful. And this is also easier to program :p

Yeah, the current description is way too misleading given the actual function of the ray, and it unfortunately it just makes it a worse option. I do second this bring harder to program though, but I’m not aware of the codebase and can’t really say much on it because of that.

This also unfortunately means I’m out of coins better spent on regular potions, but I guess I’ll just have to wait until the next set of missions arrives.

I was really hoping to give my partner some of my size with the size giving ray to equal out our sizes, but it took miles from me, and only gave them a few feet in height. Is it possible to make that size dependent so equaling out people’s height can be easier for friends who wanna help each other out? :)

Mid said its intentional this way, it probably won’t be changed

X3 valid, I accidentally made a duplicate thread and sorta just moved the comment here. I will be alright with things remaining as they are.

I’d be willing to change the behaviour if we can find a good balance point where both situations are satisfying. That being, macros giving size to micros and micros giving size to macros.
