Hello! Haven’t posted in a little while- Between graduation and family visiting, life has been super busy lately! But to break the ice, wanted to share one of my biggest hobbies, baking! Mostly gonna be sharing the cakes I make here, but I’ve been experimenting with sourdough and other kinds of breads for a while, it’s a lot of fun ^^
First one is the most recent I’ve made for mother’s day, turned out kinda scuffed because of the filling being a bit too runny, but it was really tasty at least!
Simple sponge cake soaked with strawberry & cream liquor, the filling is a white chocolate cream and plenty of chopped strawberries~
Another recent one I’m very proud of, made it for a family friend that I consider to be my non-blood related grandma. Irish cream soaked sponge cake with nuts and a dulche de leche filling, frosted with toasted swiss meringue!
Weh thank you!! I’ve been doing it for quite a while, though only recently i’ve gotten into making cakes (and decorating them!) Slowly building up my collection of piping tips too x)
Aaah oh my goodness these all look so delicious! The chocolate cake especially looks so good, especially the internal shot where you can see the filling and layers! The Irish cream cake above that looks so tasty as well, I love the swirly pattern on the exterior. Awesome baking!
And finally, I usually use a screen and bake my pizzas directly on the rack (with great results), but I finally relented and got myself a proper pizza steel, and man, this has to the the best batch I ever made!
The toppings are mozarella, onions, toasted garlic, canadian bacon, and something similar to cream cheese we call Catupiry :3
