Which game console is your favorite? Handhelds included!

I have kind of a hard time choosing, but the one I love playing the most for the unique games is the Gamecube. Obviously I love a ton of consoles, but it’s one that I love to go back to all the time.

I think probably just purely nostalgia based for me, I’d say the GameCube as well. I played so so so many hours of windwaker on it

I think I miss my SEGA Genesis most of all. That’s the Mega Drive to some of you. Think it still works…

i still appreciate my gameboy advance. i don’t even have that many games on it and the aux output is getting messy, but it’s nice.

Thaaaaat’s a hard question. Current mode says GBA and Gamecube together, but that’s because I’m currently collecting stuff to play Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles coop. A lot of my favorite old games are on the SNES. Super Metroid I’ve beaten entirely too many times and broken to hell and back, RPGs like Lufia 2, SMRPG, and FF5 are my favorites of those, so it’s a close second

For me, the PS2 was the peak. Could run PS1 discs, had enough graphical power to create good-looking videogames akin to motion pictures, run DVD movies. After that, companies got greedy and creativity got thrown under the bus in favor of graphics and ultra-realism.

Playstation 3 has so many bangers, CoD5, MW2 and 3, Little Big Planet 1 AND 2, Dead Rising 2, Borderlands 2

I still have my N64 laying around. 20 years and it still works. Had good memories with the Zelda games, sadly lost Majora’s Mask to time, which was definitely one of my favorite games.

I think the DS and 3DS had the most effect on me. So many weird and wonderful experiences available on it, that even only REALLY work on it. For example, I absolutely disliked the Switch’s attempt to make The World Ends With You work on one screen, so much so that I immediately returned the game and went shopping for the original. Those systems kept me sane as a commuter for years upon years, too.

I think the N64 and the GBA are the two consoles where I have the MOST memories from. I had Golden Sun (1 + 2), Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga, and there is a reason why Generation 3 Pokemon (RSE) are still my favorite pokemon games.

As for the N64, growing with games like Super Mario 64, Mario Party 1-3, Paper Mario, Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2, Pokemon Puzzle League, Zelda OoT and Kirby 64. Yeah that was a really swell time.
