I’m showing my age by posting both a lot of OLDER PS1/N64 era OST but also some more new ones! And trust me, it’s quite the range of diversity so you’ll find some KEEPERS!! :face_with_steam_from_nose:

I also deeply enjoy a vast majority of the Final Fantasy franchise’s OST. Tactics (War of the Lions), 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13 and Crystal Chronicles in particular! The Metroid series as well and PLENTY else, but the above list is… MOST of my definitive “Some REAL gems in here.” OST.

Those two in particular really catch me off guard everytime when I was playing… The way they creep up on you into this like, realization of “Wait I /really/ like this music but I was so into the gameplay it took me a second to register!!” SUCH a good feeling.

Thanks for the praise ~! I’m still trying to think of more keepers, especially the NICHE ones!
I’ll give Outer Wilds at least a peak, I been recommended it enough to contemplate /buying/ it and imo playing a game sets the OST tone first time experience the best!!

corru.observer’s music is nothing to sleep on. game is a gem from the middle of nowhere.

ALL OF UNDERTALES SONG!!! I really love undertale (the song one) IT GETS ME GOING 100/10 game :face_holding_back_tears:

For me it has the be King’s Field 4: The Ancient City. Some tracks in it are piercing but quite a few of em are bangers.

Second is any Final Fantasy ost from FF7 onward Noubu is legendary in his craft
