This one idea I had for macro sports where the challenge changes as the contestants grow and planets become artificially created for the purpose of hosting these games and ends up being the winner’s trophy.
it’s a tournament bracket with traditional sports done at the base height, such as football, lacrosse and Volleyball
the demolition segment lasts until the final two contestants are a third the size of the planet in which the final contest is a full-on wrestling match. winner outgrows the planet and keeps it as a trophy
The penalty would be having their size distributed to the remaining contestants until only one giant remains~
when they reach the size of a city. they move onto the demolition segment where they will have to destroy as much as they can in a fixed amount of time
when the winning contestants grow, they have the advantage for more complex sports
rest assured, the buildings are all uninhabited to prevent lawsuits and the game is more like a turf war, but instead of paint, it’s footprints
also the destroyed buildings get melted down and rebuilt for the next match
i did say growy squid games in chat but this also reminds me of the football in 17776. just having a continent or planet (or galaxy…) dedicated to a macro sport sounds like a cool bot of worldbuilding. i would watch that sport, heehee.
OwO?? so like you’re an engineer? these planets are kinda like massive recycling plants so everything on or in them is designed for the purpose of setting the next tournament after one finishes
